History: An ancient bio weapon created by Atlantis, Gamera was laid to rest centuries ago after the empire was destroyed. As hundreds of centuries past, the ecosystem slowly began to weaken and the ancient Gyaos awoken. As the Gyaos began to feed, Gamera's body rose up from the sea and was spotted more than a dozen times, but from the eons at the sea floor, rocks and other debris had covered it, giving its hard shell the appearance of an atoll. When a research team went ashore, they accidentally destroyed one of the markings that had been placed on the creature. The monster had fully awoken and headed directly for Japan to face the Gyaos that were spreading.

The huge monster burst from the sea as the first Gyaos escaped from the trapping plan. The mighty turtle lifted its hand, slapping the winged creature into the refinery, killing it. Gamera moved through Fukuoka, smashing every building in its way as it approached the dome that housed the trapped Gyaos. The reptile's arms smashed into the roof of the dome, but he was far to late. The Gyaos blasted their way out of their cage and escaped from the still closing dome. The tusked guardian turned and watched as the Gyaos escaped his grasp, and the huge beast pulled in its arms and legs, taking chase after the Gyaos.

After diving into the sea, the monster Gamera began to recharge into its energy for further battles. Days past and finally the guardian burst from the sea, flying into the Japan mountains to vanquish the Gyaos that took shelter there. As the Gyaos attacked, a fire ball flew through the air, striking one of the Gyaos, shattering it to pieces. The remaining Gyaos tried to kill the fleeing humans, but the gargantuan turtle protected them, and as the massive bird tried to escape, Gamera activated his rocket like thrusters, taking to the skies in hot pursuit. As Gamera and Gyaos flew over the skies, a missile attack was put in play against the ancient turtle. Two missiles exploded on the turtle's shell, sending the guardian falling into the Fuji area. A volley of tank blasts met the shelled creature at the base of the mountain, blowing the ancient creature onto its back. As the monster roared aloud, the remaining Gyaos flew in low, firing its sonic cutter beam at the ancient guardian. The turtle managed to escape with a minor wounds.

As the days past and Gamera finished healing his wounds, the massive turtle burst from the ground, taking chase after the monstrous creature. As the fight raged between the ancient beasts, the fight was taken high into the air where both entered the very tip of the atmosphere. As the oxygen ran low, Gamera's boosters died out, and both monsters fell back to the Earth. To save its own life, Gyaos severed its own leg to free itself from the turtle's deadly bite. The huge guardian crashed into the oil refinery, its body engulfed in an explosion far larger than itself. Thinking it had beaten its ancient enemy, Gyaos began to attack the refinery with its beam, but the fire around Gamera began to die and flow into the turtle's body, the guardian was far from dead. The massive Gyaos landed, charging a final beam but Gamera was quick to fire his own fire ball, the head of the bat like Gyaos blowing off of its head completely. The victor of the fight against Gyaos, Gamera returned to the sea where he waited for his next challenge.

A year later, the Legion and her deadly swarm began to invade Japan and constructed a huge nest in Sapporo. Luckily for mankind, Gamera arrived on scene and demolished the huge pod before it could explode, but thousands of Symbiotic Legions swarmed the super turtle, forcing the monster to dash into the sea, drowning the crab like insects. Days later, another nest was constructed in Sendai, and once again, Gamera flew in to destroy it, but this time was met by the queen Legion herself. The huge guardian held back the insect long enough for the final humans to evacuate, but when Legion unleashed her powerful EM blast, not even Gamera could stand up to its awesome power, and was rendered unconscious as the space insect escaped. Minutes after, Gamera rose up, but his time had run out. Just as Gamera knocked the Legion Pod over, the plant exploded, reducing the surrounding file miles to ash and nearly killing Gamera.

After the destruction of Sendai, Gamera was revived by the heat of fire and took to the air to face Legion one more time. As the battle between the Earth monster and space monster once again clashed, the humans, for the first time, took a firm stand on the side of Gamera and attacked the Legion, blowing off several side horns. When she tried to call back her swarm, the Symbiotic Legions were attracted elsewhere by electric conductors and were rightfully destroyed by missiles. With the battle made even, Gamera managed to rip off Legion's central horn, but the turtle's victory cry was quickly cut short. Legion rose up, her eyes burning red in anger. Several long whips of energy fired out of the stump, whipping and impaling the guardian several times. As the two moved about, both reeling in pain, Gamera managed to escape the insect's grasp and began to charge the mana ray. Legion bellowed out as the super powerful beam of energy struck her body, and within seconds, her form was reduced to ash.

Almost two years after the destruction of Legion, a familiar foe reappeared in the world. The Gyaos had been reborn and evolved into the deadly Hyper Gyaos, but once again, Gamera waged a complete war against the winged serpents. Two of the flying monsters attacked Fukuoka, but the turtle like Gamera was quick to attack. The silence of the city was broken when the remains of one Gyaos fell to the ground in a ball of fire, and the return of both Gamera and Gyaos became known to all as Gamera polished off the final monster with his dead plasma fire balls. After the city had been transformed into a sea of fire, Gamera took to the air to battle the bat like Hyper Gyaos all across the globe.

As Iris approached Kyoto in hopes of absorbing and merging with Ayana, a girl who's pure hatred of Gamera for killing her parents spawned the beast, the massive guardian burst from the sea, challenging Iris in midair. An aerial dog fight flew toward the city with monster monsters ripping and tearing into one another, but when Iris used its Gyaos like sonic cutter beams, Gamera was forced to slow down before being hit by two missiles by the military wishing to destroy it for all the damage it did in Fukuoka.

Iris pulled ahead and landed in the city, but as Gamera approached and fired several balls of fire, the ancient Iris simply swatted them from the air, the balls striking the ground, igniting yet another city. Gamera soon landed and the battle raged once again between the two, but Iris managed to impale its deadly spear into Gamera's chest, making the use of the mana ray impossible, and at the same time, knocking the giant creature out and giving Iris enough time to absorb Ayana.

As Iris ignored his surroundings and focused on Ayana, Gamera regained consciousness and plunged his hand deep into Iris' body, gripping the young woman who hated him with every ounce of her being. Wailing in pain, Iris pinned Gamera's hand to the wall of the structure and began to absorb his blood and at the same time, charge two of its own plasma fire balls. In a desperate move to save everyone's life in the surrounding area, Gamera blasted off his own arm and caught the plasma fire balls, forming the all powerful plasma fist. The attack completely destroyed Iris and the Kyoto station they fought in, but Ayana was freed of her hatred for Gamera and her lust for revenge.

Gamera, the absolute guardian of the universe, walked out into the sea of flames a winner once again, but a slew of new adversaries was approaching. From every corner of the globe, every Gyaos was flocking to Japan to kill the shelled guardian, and knowing Gamera's intentions, mankind set out to help the tusked hero.
