History: An ancient bio-weapon created by Atlantis to combat their rogue Gyaos experiments, Gamera was laid to rest centuries ago after the empire was destroyed. Centuries past and the Earth's ecosystem slowly began to weaken, unleashing a new batch of Gyaos upon an unsuspecting world. In response to this, Gamera awoke from his ageless slumber, ready to destroy this new threat to all life.

Over the next few days, mankind would bare witness to a tremendous battle of epic proportions as Gamera fought his ancient enemies, slowly exterminating each Gyaos one by one, with the final climactic battle taking place in Tokyo. After a heated battle, Gamera would emerged victorious with the help of a young girl named Asagi Kusanagi, who was bonded to the creature via an ancient amulet.

A year passed, and Gamera awoke again to face a new threat. Scientists; using DNA obtained from the dead Gyaos, as well as some radioactive materials, had managed to create their own super monsters. The first creature Gamera ran into was a clone of the Gyaos itself, who had managed to escape from the containment facility. The two monsters collided in the city of Guanajota Harbor in Mexico. With some aid from Asagi, Gamera was able to fry the Gyaos to nothing but bones using an oil tanker that rested in the docks. It's task finished, Gamera quickly flew off.

Gamera next found itself going up against the alien creature Zigra, a monstrous creature from outer space that had managed to find itself on Earth. At first Gamera was overwhelmed by this strange new challenger, but soon managed to make a devastating comeback, carrying the alien monster far out to an active volcano west of Java, where he promptly dumped the creature into the fiery molten pits below. Once again, the Guardian Monster promptly made his exit, awaiting the next threat.

It soon came, in the form of Viras, a mutant super monster made from the experiments using Gyaos DNA. The creature had managed to use it's telepathic abilities to enslave it's creator, and used her in a bid for world domination. To make matters worse, she managed to obtain Asagi's amulet, using that as a conductor for Viras to in turn control Gamera. Viras' first destination was Paris, where it used Gamera as a protector and shield from the French Military. But events soon transpired that broke the mutant's hold on the Guardian Monster, and Gamera made short work of Viras, viciously impaling it upon a church spire, ending this twisted threat for good.
