Home World: Earth Origin: Russia Type: Alien / Mutant
History: It was meant to be a symbol of power and solidarity for the then Soviet Union. But as fate would have it, a stranded alien from the planet Cancrius III was in the same area. Frightened and alone on this strange world, it sought out a place to hide. So it chose to enter (or possess) the large Soviet statue, thus bringing it to life. The large Colossus statue then went on a rampage, battling the Russian Red Army in the process. This went on till the alien's friends came down and rescued it, ending the devastating chaos of the Colossus... or at least temporarily.
But it was not the last time that humanity would witness the power of the Living Colossus. It would return for at least five more occasions after it's initial appearance. The Colossus started out playing the monstrous villain, but like a certain Radioactive Lizard, would eventually make the transition to hero with the help of special effects expert Bob O'Bryan.
