- Mystical Power: Shuma Gorath has vast, nearly limitless mystical power. Can generate his own energy or, if need be, draw it from others. He can manipulate these magical energies on a planetary scale. In his home dimension he is virtually omnipotent. Due to his magical/mystical nature it is virtually impossible to permanently destroy him.
- Telepathy: Shuma Gorath can communicate telepathically, and compel others to do his will, even across entire dimensions.

History: Shuma Gorath is a demonic nigh-omnipotent being whose existed for millennia. He first came to Earth over 1,000,000 years ago, but was driven off countless times by the magical and godly beings of that time period. He would again try to cross over onto the Earthly plane in modern times, only to be confronted and banished by Earth's Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange, countless more times, each battle longer and more challenging than the last. The demon would push Strange to his utmost limits, once even forcing the sorcerer to merge with the beast in order to destroy him. But Shuma Gorath is never dead for too long, and has reappeared since.
