History: Nuclear testing in a desert located somewhere in Africa gave birth to the creature known as Grottu. Almost immediately he set out to conquer the world of man, utilizing his telepathic control over a vast swarm of army ants, the insect army began to march toward the city of Mombasa. There Grottu planned to use the boats in the city's wharfs to expand his empire to the rest of the world.
Unfortunately for him, a man named Frank, one of the many aliases of famed monster hunter Ulysses Bloodstone, was there to put a stop to his plans. He lured Grottu to a warehouse where a large supply of sugar was dumped upon the mutated ant. Drawn to the sugar despite Grottu's commands, the army ants ravenously devoured the sugar, apparently smothering Grottu in the process, but that was not the end of Grottu, he has since returned on numerous occasions only to be defeated each time by various heroes.
