Powers:
- Absolute Zero Cannon: Kiryu can fire the Absolute Zero Cannon from his chest, this beam freezes anything to absolute zero degrees and stops all atom movement.
- Masers: Kiryu has twin masers in his mouth. These are no more powerful then normal maser blasts and are normally just used to get a monster’s attention.
- Back Unit: Kiryu has a back unit that can fire missiles from the two shoulder launchers and back launchers. This back unit can also fly off of Kiryu's body, resulting in an explosion when it is finally detonated by Kiryu's pilot.
- Wrist Blasters: Kiryu has two wrist blasters, one on each arm, each equipped with two laser cannons on them.

Weaknesses: Kiryu's power only last two hours before needing recharged.

History: After the return of Godzilla just six years prior, Japan retrieved the bones of the 1954 Godzilla from the sea floor, and began construction of a bio weapon to defeat Godzilla and also protect the nation from further attacks from other monsters. It took years to complete, but armed with the state of the art weapons and the all powerful absolute zero cannon, Kiryu, the mechanical clone of Godzilla was finished.

As the machine was being showcased to the public, the massive monster known as Godzilla rose from the ocean's depths, attracted by the bones used in Kiryu's completion. The monster and mech met in the city, and the battle began. The robot unleashed rounds of missiles on the monster king's hide, but the creature remained tall and firm against the robot. When Godzilla finally roared in return, all hell broke loose. Godzilla fell back into the sea as something dark awoke inside Kiryu's DNA computers. The memories of the 1954 Godzilla awoke, and the monster began an assault against its creators until its time limit ran out. Kiryu was retrieved, and soon repaired, leaving the mech in wait for a further attack.

That attack came days later when Godzilla rose from the sea once more, ready to vent his rage across the Japan countryside. Kiryu was once again dispatched, but its simple masers and missiles did little to halt the monster. Godzilla fought back with tooth and claw as the fight raged, eventually causing Kiryu to dispatch its back and wrist units to keep up. When Kiryu finally had Godzilla down, Akane, Kiryu's pilot, prepared to fire the absolute zero cannon. The monster king, possibly sensing the danger, fired his atomic ray as the freezer beam was being charged.

Kiryu flew through the air, the beam freezing and shattering several buildings before it came to a crashing stop, damaged. Akane was forced to enter the machine manually as the robot was recharged. Kiryu rose to its feet, ready to face the monster king once again.

As Godzilla held one of the Shirasagis in his maws, Akane began to charge the absolute zero cannon, and charged forward. The machine gripped the plan and threw it away, and while holding Godzilla's jaws shut, Kiryu and Godzilla flew into the city, crashing down into the water that quickly exploded into ice. When the ice shattered, Godzilla rose up, a massive wound on his chest, and Kiryu faired no worse. The mighty weapon was devastated by its own attack and Godzilla's ray, it's arm destroyed and absolute zero cannon ruined. As Godzilla retreated, Kiryu was collected by the defense force once again, and outfitted with new weapons to fight another day.

- Hyper Maser: Kiryu can fire three, supercharged masers from his chest that can combine to form the Hyper Maser, a powerful burst of energy capable of inflicting massive damage.
- Masers: Kiryu has twin masers in his mouth. These are no more powerful then normal masers and are regularly used to gain a monster’s attention.
- Back Unit: Kiryu has a back unit that can fire missiles from the two shoulder launchers and back launchers. This back unit can also fly off Kiryu and hit an enemy.
- Wrist Blasters: Kiryu has two wrist blasters, one on each arm. Both of these have two laser cannons on them.
- Cables: Kiryu can fire cables from his neck, capable of tying other monsters up and holding them close.
- Hand Drill: Kiryu can turn his right hand into a drill that he can use to drill into a monster.

Weaknesses: Kiryu's power only last two hours before needing recharged.

History: After its damage at the hands of Godzilla on year earlier, Kiryu went under repairs and upgrades. The absolute zero cannon was ditched in favor of the newly created Hyper Maser, and the machine was given better circuitry and power units. Kiryu was sent into action once more after Godzilla made Mothra crash into the Tokyo Park, and as Godzilla began to charge his atomic ray, Kiryu's lasers showered down on the area around him, the rematch was about to occur.

Kiryu and Godzilla once again drew battle, and once again, simple masers and rockets doing little but enrage the monster king. Godzilla fought back, using his atomic ray and extensive melee skills to match everything his robotic clone threw at him. As the battle raged, Godzilla was knocked down, but as Kiryu drew closer, Godzilla's maw open fired with the atomic ray, blowing half of Kiryu's face plate off and damaging several wires.

Yoshito Chujo, one of Kiryu's mechanics left to fix up the robot as Godzilla was busy fighting the larvae Mothra. Once Kiryu was operational once more, Godzilla's atomic ray hit the hatch that allowed young Chujo inside, trapping the mechanic inside for the duration of the battle.

Kiryu and Godzilla fell into the Diet Building, crushing it completely. Both fighters got up, and Kiryu plunged its hand drill deep into Godzilla's stomach, injuring the monster before it began to fire the Hyper Maser on the mutation. As the Mothra Larvae began to cocoon him alive, Godzilla fell to his side, unconscious. The order was given to Kiryu to finish off the monster king, but the Godzilla side of Kiryu once again took over. The red tear line returned and the machine picked up Godzilla, tying it around himself with its long cables. The cyborg's jets kicked on and carried both itself and Godzilla out to sea, while Chujo was rescued from danger thanks to a Shirasagis gun, the two Godzillas plunged into the sea, both thought to be dead.
