History: As a would-be criminal mastermind, Drury Walke was a failure and a laughing stock in the criminal community. Every chance he had to gain notoriety backfired in his face, and he seemed doomed to remain a joke. But his luck, and his very fate, changed when he was approached by the demon Neron, offering him greater power, in exchange for his soul. Walker accepted, wanting to be feared instead of mocked.
Neron honored that wish, ten fold. He transformed Walker into a giant man-eating moth-like monster, a literal Killer Moth. He also gained the fear he had desired, at the cost of his humanity. Renamed Charaxes, he began to feed on his fellow man, with those he didn't eat right away being cocooned and stored for later consumption. He had quite a few run-ins with Batman and his sidekicks, namely Robin and Nightwing, over the years.
