Powers:
- Tentacles: Man-Thing has many tentacles that are located on his back. He can use these tentacles to coil around enemies and crush them. The tentacles can also absorb liquids and then pump them back out for what ever reasons needed.
- Decompose: By stabbing his tentacles into an enemy, Man-Thing is capable of quickly decomposing living things.
- Regeneration: Man-Thing can regenerate any wound given to him in just a few seconds. Even if his body is completely burned, he is still able to reform it.

History: A creature of ancient Indian legend, it is said the being watches over the Dark Waters of the Southern United States. After Schist killed Ted Sallis, the mortal’s death had awoken the vengeful creature known as the Man-Thing. Months passed and the creature began to kill everyone that entered his swamps. With the deaths being passed off as alligator attacks, it wasn’t until Kyle Williams, a city cop turned country sheriff, began to uncover the truth with help from some of the locals.
In the midst of the investigation, Man-Thing attacked and killed yet another at Schist’s drilling site, causing a full blown manhunt for Rene LaRoque, the one thought to be responsible for the killings. In the search, Man-Thing managed to kill two redneck brothers and the deputy, but the attacks allowed Williams to see just what was actually behind the slaughters.
Along with Teri Richards, Kyle managed to get some insight on the beast from local Indian Pete Horn. After venturing into the swamps in hopes of defeating the creature, Pete Horn was next to fall by Man-Thing’s wrath.
While Kyle and Teri continued to look for both the creature and Rene, the Man-Thing soon found them. It chased them into the heart of the Dark Waters where they soon discovered not just Rene, but also Schist who was ready to kill all three. Fortunately, before he could, the creature arrived and quickly killed the human before once again turning its sights on Kyle and Teri.
As Kyle continued to fire rounds into the beast, Rene detonated the explosives that he attached to the rig. The machine was blown to pieces, freeing the Dark Waters from Schist’s treachery. With its goal finished, the Man-Thing turned back into the muck and goo that it once originally was.
