History: An alien bio-weapon that escaped its creators and fled to Earth, Zigra took refuge in the deep blue. It rested peacefully until a French nuclear bomb test disturbed it. Emerging from the boiling sea, the goblin shark-like alien attacked the battleship. All weapons fired, but nothing the battleship had could contend with the awesome power of Zigra. Before it could destroy the ship, Gamera interfered. The guardian of the universe attacked, but Zigra blasted the hero back with its energy ray. The alien bio-weapon believed its opponent was dead and turned its focus back on the mortals that disturbed it. Preparing to annihilate the French battleship again, Zigra was taken by surprise as Gamera launched from the sea! The turtle’s wicked tusks stabbed into its throat as he carried Zigra away from the ship and toward an erupting volcano. The heroic reptile dropped the alien into the fiery crater, burning the alien bio-weapon to ash! However, things were not as they seemed. While Zigra was slain, its alien masters now had to look for a suitable replacement for their own weapons project.
