History: Eight-hundred years ago, the tiny island of Kiryoku-Shima fell under siege by the ruthless oni Gekido-Jin. It ravaged the landscape and slaughtered any warrior brave enough to face him. Worse yet, even when his body was destroyed, the devil reformed his body out of the soil with an even larger image! It seemed hopeless until a lone monk arrived on the island and sacrificed himself to Gekido-Jin. The mortal soul began to combat the twisted soul of the oni, transforming his titanic body into a statue!
As the centuries passed and technology boomed, the legend of Gekido-Jin was only believed by the islanders of Kiryoku-Shima. When Godzilla made landfall on the island, not even the Japanese naval force and G-Force could stop him. The high priestess of the island hoped to sacrifice herself to replace the monk’s soul in combating the demon’s, allowing him to move about and battle Godzilla. The plan failed, but another brave man gave his life to awaken Gekido-Jin!
Kogenta’s soul replaced the monk’s and he allowed the demon to return to life! Spotting the reptilian juggernaut, Gekido-Jin smashed his hammer into Godzilla, but the mighty oni was dwarfed by the king of the monsters! Godzilla effortlessly annihilated the demon, but to his surprise, the devil reformed! Over and over, Godzilla repeatedly destroyed Gekido-Jin as he emerged from the ground.
G-Force interfered, using the passing hurricane’s lightning to shock Godzilla and distract him, allowing Gekido-Jin to fully revive. Now at a height rivaling Godzilla’s, the demon brought the fight to the nuclear menace. They collided with a force unlike that of any other, unable to stop one another. As their war raged on, Godzilla and Gekido-Jin fell from the cliffs and into the open ocean. As they rose up, the monster king let loose with his famed atomic ray, obliterating the oni’s body once again. Godzilla roared his victory to the world, but his victory came at the hands of Kogenta. The demon had driven Godzilla off of the island and now he had to fulfill his duty. He began to battle the spirit of Gekido-Jin, reducing the immense demon into a lifeless statue once again.
