History: After living a life filled with great sin, Phineas evoked the wrath of Zeus and was stricken with blindness and cursed by the Harpies. Every day, an extravagant feast was laid out before the man, but the winged demons would reach it before he could. They left him mere scraps to eat. When Jason and the Argonauts arrived, Phineas was ordered by Zeus to aid them. However, the mortal had grown more than annoyed at the constant harassment by the Harpies. He would aid the group on one condition: they helped him defeat the Harpies.
Jason agreed and they began to set up a trap for the winged creatures. Luring them in with a great feast, they dropped a huge net upon the Harpies! The things screamed in rage, but were unable to escape. Soon they were caged, trapped behind bars while Phineas fed on the feasts that had been out of reach for so long.
