History: Dirge’s loyal, undead canine companion, Cerberus was at his master’s side at all times. So of course when Dirge set off to reunite Zoe with her family, Cerberus came along. When the group came to a circus, they quickly found themselves surrounded by its zombified inhabitants. While Dirge dealt with the clowns, a zombie tiger snuck up on Zoe. Just as the cat was about to pounce, Cerberus tackled it. Once the battle was over, the dog and his master met up again, at which point Cerberus belched up the tiger’s paw.
The next battle wouldn’t go quite so smoothly, though. When the trio made it to Destiny City, they spotted a light on in the natural history museum. Upon entering, they were attacked by what seemed to be one of the exhibits. Chimaera struck like lightning, briefly knocking out Dirge before easily dispatching Cerberus.
Once Dirge recovered and temporarily incapacitated Chimaera, Nephthys appeared and brought the trio to the back of the museum where they’d be safe. Once there, Zoe stapled Cerberus’ face, which had been ripped off in the battle, back onto his skull.
In the final showdown with the Xar-Ggothua Soldier just outside the human settlement, Acropolis, Cerberus found himself almost immediately cut down by the creatures’ weapons, getting all four of his legs lopped off by a single attack. He would survive, though, and have his legs reattached good as new once Dirge, Nephthys, and he regrouped at the hospital in Destiny City.
