History: By injecting her own brain tissue into one of her prized creations, Dr. Greta Karbone created a highly intelligent, psychic super monster! When her complex was destroyed, she managed to escape with her prized Viras. The creature grew in the depths of the ocean, reaching both physical and mental maturity. Its psychic mind enslaved its creator, forcing Dr. Karbone to tend to its every need. While the creators of Zigra sought to capture Viras as their own, Viras suddenly appeared in Paris. The squid-like monster wrought havoc, annihilating the city. Worse yet, Dr. Karbone had acquired Asagi’s amulet, allowing her to control Gamera!
As self-defense forces moved in, the shelled warrior took the blunt of the assault. Rocket after rocket pounded the guardian while Viras threatened to enslave the population and damaged the Broomark ship. When her control over the reptile was lost, Gamera quickly attacked Viras. Despite his rage, the great hero was blasted by the squid’s deadly energy assault. Wounded and brought down, it seemed all was lost until Dr. Karbone’s love Gusano suddenly revived the hero, throwing a piece of the alien vehicle at the reptile. The resulting explosion resurrected the guardian, empowering him with even more strength! The turtle was enraged and once again pressed the attack, using his jaws and great strength to toss squid like a ragdoll. Screaming in terror, Viras’ tentacled body landed on the tip of the Eiffel Tower. The fiend was impaled, unable to escape as its life quickly came to an end.
