History: The self-proclaimed king of the monster lawless zone and all-around bully, Red King ruled over the land with a iron fist. The brute had earned his dominance over the other kaiju, beating down all those that challenged him. Ripping off Chandlar’s wing without a care, the creature only solidified his kingship. However, when a number of Japanese scientists went missing on the island, it was up to the Science Patrol to come to the rescue, and their arrival enraged the tyrant! Watching them arrive, Red King followed their trail until meeting them as they rescued the only survivor of the team!
The bully smashed through the rocks, causing an avalanche that would cause the demise of Pygmon, the friendly monster that helped the patrol rescue the man. The humans fought back, firing electrical rays at the creature to no avail. Enraged, Red King seemed as if he would kill them all without remorse as they sent up the distress signal. Wounded and alone, Hayata saw the multi-colored smoke and summoned Ultraman!
The red and silver giant flew in, attacking the behemoth! Red King was used to devastating smaller, weaker opponents, and had no clue how to fight a being who’s power surpassed even his own! The giant manhandled the reptile, rendering him unconscious! As the humans escaped the island and said good bye to the three scientists lost, Red King slowly recovered.
As the comet Tsuiphon passed near the Earth, it was feared the radio waves it emitted could detonate six lost nuclear bombs. After the comet passed with no devastating effect, the Science Patrol put their efforts into locating the missing weapons. Their search lead them to the Japanese alps where it was believed a monster here had devoured them. Their hunch was correct, the bombs were devoured by Red King!
As the patrol bore witness to a colossal clash between Gigass and Dorako, Red King suddenly burst from the side of a mountain! The titan quickly attacked both warring beasts, turning the fight into a three-way battle royal! The two others could do little to Red King, however, and the beast pummeled them for what seemed like hours. He manhandled Dorako, tearing his wings off and beating him until dead! Gigass didn’t fair any better and was sent into retreat where the Science Patrol would finish him.
With no other monsters to fight, the angry giant attacked Hayata! He knocked the man off a cliff, but as he fell, the human transformed into Ultraman! The second battle of the giants erupted, and this time Red King put up more a fight! Locking his arms around the hero, it seemed as if he had the red and silver giant down for good. Ultraman managed to escape and gain some distance as his color timer began to flash. With the bombs inside Red King, he had to finish the battle soon. The hero caught the beast in his Ultra-Catch Ray and formed two Ultra-Slashes and launched them at Red King, cutting his body into three pieces. Taking the severed head of Red King, which contained the nuclear bombs, Ultraman carried them into space for disposal.
