History: When a fossil of a frog bone was discovered around Shadow Lake, a pair of scientists set out to answer the call. The fossil was nearly 125 million years old, and could potentially prove the existence of a new extinct species. However the scientists were not the only ones interested in Shadow Lake. A fellow collage and group of trappers, had traveled to the Lake after learning of the legend.
About 200 years ago an Indian had discovered a yellow rock by the shore. When he cast it into the waters and after a half-man half-frog rose from the depths, a deer magically appeared. The season had been scarce for food, so he immediately took it back to his tribe. Once he told his story to the others, they too went back to do the same.
The trappers and scientists were in search for the treasure of Rana. Unfortunately Rana liked its gold, and started killing all of the men, one by one, the amphibian beast sought to keep its domain clean.
Greatly angered the frog from hell rose from the lake and viciously attack the two female scientists and the Kellys. Both the aunt and father fell to the demons wrath, leaving only Kelly Jr. and Susan to brace against the monster's rage. It wasn’t until nightfall that Kelly Jr. got a clear shot with his rifle, and ended the creature's reign. Nearly twenty years later, Kelly returned to the lake with his girlfriend to find the gold. They managed too, but they also found a newly hatching baby Rana as well. The Legend would always live on it seemed.
