History: Millions of years ago, a few species of dinosaur escaped the extinction by burrowing underground. They remained in a sort of hibernation until the time was right, and when circumstances allowed it, the beasts began to awake. Baragon was the first, emerging from the countryside of Japan to devour all life in his path. Emerging only at night, the dinosaur struck unsuspecting villages, wiping hundreds of people off the face of the Earth in a matter of minutes!
At the same time, the escaped Frankenstein was being hunted by the self-defense forces and every attack the dinosaur made was being blamed on the giant humanoid. Having only a theory that there may be a second monster lurking within the country, the group couldn’t garner any support to put an end to the ruthless hunt for Frankenstein.
Desiring to preserve Frankenstein’s heart and brain, Dr. Kawaji looked to kill the humanoid in one piece, instead of blowing him to bits like the military would do. Upon showing his blinding bombs to his colleagues, the man disturbed the resting Baragon. The dinosaur burst from the ground, setting his predatory gaze upon the trio of humans. As they fled, Frankenstein burst into action, hearing their cries of horror.
As Frankenstein rescued his caregivers, Baragon moved toward a nearby village, but was intercepted by the humanoid. Frankenstein prevented the dinosaur from attacking any more innocents and attacked, using his great strength to pummel the horned dinosaur. With the forest burning around the dueling pair, Frankenstein managed to grab the behemoth’s neck and twist it, snapping Baragon’s neck! The life quickly faded out of the reptile, leaving his carcass as a trophy for Frankenstein, but soon his victorious opponent would be swallowed up by an earthquake ripping through the ground.
As the decades passed, numerous kaiju began to appear throughout the world, including another Baragon. Unlike the original, the second Baragon was left alive and captured, being placed on the kaiju paradise known as Monster Land in the Pacific Ocean. When the Kilaakians arrived, they took control of the island’s kaiju and sent them to destroy humanity.
As the war of the worlds ignited, humanity successfully stole the technology to control the kaiju, turning the tides of battle. Baragon, along with the other monsters, were summoned to Mount Fuji to confront the invader’s underground base, but King Ghidorah was unleashed upon them. Instead of charging into battle, the horned juggernaut sat on the sidelines, waiting as a reserve unit which never had to be used. When the war was finally over, the kaiju returned to their island home. The Earth was saved once again.
